Top 3 Facebook Audit Issues and How to Fix Them: Part 1

Over the coming days we will be counting down the TOP 3 Facebook audit issues and how you can learn from these mistakes…
We conducted an audit of over 100 Facebook business pages to discover what pain points businesses face while telling their story online..
The results were quite surprising as 2 of the top 3 were that closely related, we decided to combine this result and include the 4th top recommendation as our number 3.
The common themes that surfaced were content, engagement, social media management and market research. These brands had the same theme across the board.
Lack of engagement in contrast to their follower base…
Before you can start to remedy this issue, you must ask yourself these questions.
You have over 1,000 likes on your Facebook page, but out of those 1,000 likes:
- How many are buying your products consistently every time you post
- How many followers are seeing your posts?
- Is your content making them engage with you?
- What are you learning from your market?
- How are you adding value to your followers?

Pain Point #3
Copy Writing - Length of post and content
Solution
Copy writing plays a big part in your social media efforts and can be very tricky. People will only read your copy if it is appealing and doesn’t make them feel like their being sold to, this is where story telling comes into play. There are many affordable services out there to help you improve your copy writing skill such as:
- Self Education: Skillshare, Lynda.com and even YouTube. These online providers do require some investment, most of which is time. If you invest an hour or so each day to practicing this, you will get better over time, and in time your engagement results will improve
- Outsourcing: Upwork and Fiverr are the most commonly used freelancer service providers. The only drawback is that to get quality copy-writing for your posts, you will have to spend the time to interview and vet quality contributors. Otherwise you’re not maximizing your ROI
- 100 words: to accompany each post. You can achieve this by telling a story of what the post is about (see context)
- Context: Is there a story you can tell about the post? Stories are great for engagement. Tell them what it is exactly that you’re GIVING them. Not selling to them
- Call to action or “CTA”: This is something that can include statements such as, “Please like, comment and share this post”, “Click the link below to find out more”. By having your followers like and comment your posts, your post will reach their friends list increasing your organic reach
- Ask a question to your fans: Be genuine is your interest with your followers. Without them you wouldn’t be in business. Don’t forget the power at your fingertips here. Social media is the perfect place to find out more about your target audience
- Exception to the rule: Sometimes less is more depending on the type of story you’re trying to convey to your audience. Is the content your posting a photo or video? Usually these require less text, as the old saying goes, a picture is worth 1000 words

How Will You Improve Your Copy-writing?
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
By improving your copy with your posts, you are improving the quality of your brands story telling which does have a direct correlation to your ROI. It may not be immediate, however this is helping set you up for overtime and when you need to get those last points on the board.
Once you get people to engage with your content, the more people will see it. It’s important to remember that in social media and internet marketing, there is no “ONE” strategy. All of these little things add up to help guide people through your business. Just because you have a Facebook ad running doesn’t mean you should be ignoring the other aspects of your online presence...
Once you have your audience engaged, then you can focus on helping them because now they know WHO you are, HOW you can HELP them and more likely to BUY from you and even become RECURRING customers…
Stay tuned for more…
See you on the field,
