Don’t just walk, Run in rain and reveal your inner self.
So, recently I got trapped under a goofy heavy rain, bewildered what to do, I ran directly near the roadside mall, I won’t take the name of the mall as this is not about marketing though I did capture a breathtaking experience.
Well, it was all unplanned, I had to get to work, all off track, with nothing to do, hereinafter, I started sensing nature, rain and ambiance around. I could see a huge crowd rushing in of all shades, of all ages and of all moods. Rain has some kind of magic, especially as it makes people romantic. All arguments suddenly vanished. People were embracing the sound gushing in their ear.
For a second everyone felt numb, and then I saw children running around. While some had privilege to run under the roof, others had the thrill to play outside. Pity but that’s our country!
Such an exuberance from these little frogs reminds me of a Chinese proverb which goes like this:
“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning to dance in the rain.”
This is because it actually creates wonder as your lips read them, your hairs traps the tiny diamonds and before your mind could justify the sudden wildness with which each of your senses get struck you are already in the cradle of mother nature. The thunder makes your inner beast roar. It seems so true and audacious that you cannot deny the fact of enjoying rain with full potential in your early days of infancy; whether it happened on those uncanny rainy days of school, or when you sailed your mighty boats during the after rain party in a hope that it will withstand all pains and reveal the pluviophile in you.
Like everything fades out you dumped your happiness attached to rain as you left the chambers of adolescence. I don’t blame you because it was bound to happen. Nothing is an axiom.
Slowly, The rain became one of the annoying parts of your life, All you remembered getting sad watching those dark dense cloud holding tears. Slowly, It’s soothing frequencies thrumming around turned into exasperating noise but let me tell you in Vladimir Nabokov words:
“Do not be angry with the rain; it simply does not know how to fall upwards.”
Yes, that’s what Vladimir Nabokov said about the rain, and it should also be the way we feel. But it is not easy just to be indifferent, right? The comment section is all yours!
So, while I was sitting and watching everything slowing down, Here is a random memory I cherished when I saw this girl running inside. Exquisite could be a word, but for now it was very small to address her. She was splashing like waves all over my eyes, No word in the world could do justice to her elegance. I would rather picture her as Atlantic because her elegance was deep and she was expanding like it’s history. She took toll over a part of me which only my ego could resist. She was flaunting like a mermaid who just came out of the ocean. However, this is not a love story. She just got disappeared before I could even remember her. I still think, How would she react if I had complimented her, Indian’s you know, Full conservative.
It was all happening under the roof shed.Even, I mostly don’t like rain. It all gets so messy but today I could sense it and today it was different, it even reminded me of a great saying:
“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”
- Bob marley
However, the point is, it was first time I was so close to nature because nature has this power to win fiercest battle.
While this rain was pouring, I could hear those tiny droplets falling. Each in a rhythm that could negate your most dreadful and painful moments.
As if it was falling not to show what power it holds or how magnificent she is, but to let people forget everything and be happy.
Rain are best source of inspiration and creativity. When the cold breeze titillates you, it fills you with joy.
When you see people getting out, it makes you nostalgic.
When you smell the food around, it reminds you of home.
I never knew rain is so alive that it could live even if it shares a part of its life.
I personally think all the worst memories are washed off by the rain and all the best ones are created after rainfall. The sound is a vessel of these unforgettable moments which brings a smile to your face the next time it hits the floor.
Rainfall is pristine and a harbinger of prophecies and vision. Rain is the perfect refreshing sign that you will be moving on soon. We may make our plans, but fate has the ultimate power in choosing the direction into which the path will go. Often Fate will have us to take shelter, in unlikely places. Pay close attention to the signs around you during the rain. This is the next step you are being led, towards. Those who don’t walk in rain they can’t run in life.
Now, I need to depart the rain has stopped but if you love rain, or you felt that subtle smell of mud with me while reading, or you are excited to enjoy the next rain. Do let me know in comments and share your unforgettable rainy day experiences.
I love to learn so if you find any mistakes, do let me know, It would help me get better.
Till then Auf Wiedersehen, See you in the next “RAIN”.
Special Thanks: Raj Kapadia
