We kick off a dedicated savings pool to welcome the Brazilian Real (cREAL) into the Celo Ecosystem!

Last week, the cREAL or ‘Celo Brazilian Real’ joined the Celo stablecoin family. The value of this decentralized stablecoin is pegged to the Brazilian Real. This means that Brazilians can now transact globally in their local currency, removing the risk of foreign exchange volatility. This is a big step forward for local adoption. Payment for groceries, micro-work, remittances and much more are now possible using the digital cREAL.

Ready to find the savings rhythm that speaks to your heart? We will be offering TWO savings pool in honor of the upcoming Brazilian Carnival. This is allows players to choose the stable coin of their preference. In this Samba, you will have two different beats to choose from!
1) The cREAL Samba Pool. You will need to save in $cREAL in order to complete this pool. This is a pool for explorers!

2) The cUSD Samba Pool. Want to stick to the well-known cUSD? No problem. This pool is for flexible comfort!

Each pool will have spots for 2000 savers. The pools conclude right on time for the big Carnival Parade.
