How to Take a Course on Hamoye Platform With a Study Group

Once you have created your Hamoye account (click here to read about how to create a Hamoye account if you do not have one), you may follow these instructions to take/enroll for a course on the platform:

1. Once you are signed in, you will automatically be directed to the activity feed. The activity feed is where you see other users’ public activities you follow on the platform like posts and comments.

2. At the top left corner of the page(as shown in the figure above) is the Hamoye logo, and to it’s right is a search box with the question: what would you like to learn? Go ahead and type in what you want to learn, then click search. In this article, we will search for Data Storytelling with Microsoft Power BI (as shown below). Then go ahead to click the course topic

3. Once you click the course, it directs you to the course page. Click the ‘Enrol Button’

4. Once “Enrol” is clicked, it leads directly to the study groups. As shown below, 2 study groups have been filled, but the third is available. “Enroll” is clicked once more

5. Upon clicking the enroll button, the button will update and change to “Pending”

Your request will be reviewed and approved or otherwise within 24 hours.

6. If it is approved, you will receive an email from us that you have been enrolled for the course in the Study Group .

7. Once you see this, you can now revisit the course by clicking ‘Ongoing’ in the course menu at the top left side of your screen and begin learning!
