Introducing the Slack News Feed, Get Top Posts From All Your Slack Chats

This is going to completely change how you use Slack.

I use Slack every day, and I don’t just use it for work.

I’m in 10+ Slack chats that I use to hang out with friends, to network with entrepreneurs, to talk about coffee, to discuss social media tactics, and even to share new music.

😍 🎶 ☕ 🐹 🙌

Slack has become the #1 place I socialize, and I’m not alone. Over 2.3 million people around the world are chatting on Slack every single day.

But, there’s a problem. It has been incredibly difficult to keep up with so many Slack chats. If you are in multiple Slack chats you will understand exactly what I’m talking about.

To solve this problem we have created the Slack News Feed. It allows you to quickly catch up on all your Slack chats by showing you the top posts from every channel you are in. We think it’s pretty awesome.

Start using the Slack News Feed now:

You’ll be checking out your top posts in no time.

  • Go to Hamster Pad and sign up / login.
  • If you admin a Slack chat hit “Add a Chat” in the top right and add it. If you don’t admin the Slack chat, poke the admin and tell them to do it.
  • Join Slack chats you’re interested in, there are over 350 on Hamster Pad to choose from.
  • Bam! You now have a Slack News Feed that you can check all day every day to keep up with the Slack chats you’re in.

🎉 👌

We can’t wait for you to check out the Slack News Feed.

Let us know what you think of it on Twitter or, even better, join our Slack chat and let’s talk about this in real time.

Micro communities powered by Slack chats are incredible and at Hamster Pad we’re here to make them even more awesome.
