🌸 Hana Network: April 2024 Update
The Gateway for Babylon and EigenLayer
April has been one of the greatest months for the blockchain industry because it marked the start of the Bitcoin halving, which occurs once every four years. We’re seeing many protocols starting to build on the concept behind Bitcoin. We were glad to discuss the future of the ecosystem with them at the Dubai Blockchain event, even though the weather wasn’t great due to the ongoing flooding.
Despite the challenges, we made it to the event and explored potential collaborations with various teams to position Hana Gateway as the on-boarding hub for the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Thank you everyone who keeps supporting us from the beginning. We hope this Monthly Update will help you understand Hana Network’s vision and the progress of our protocol across all areas, including business development and technical development.
🧵 Twitter Thread Competition
Our very first program to reward educators in the blockchain space has concluded. We received a lot of submissions from our community members — over 20 educators participated. The winners received a special role on Discord called ‘Hanami.’ We will be revealing the privileges and details associated with this role in the coming months.
This campaign marks the beginning of exciting initiatives to come. We’ll be rewarding active community members for their participation in future campaigns, helping us gear up for the launch.
🌸 Launching Hanami
Hanami is our community program that rewards the most active community members on social platforms, this includes Twitter (X), Discord, and Telegram. These members create educational content and help new members navigate the Hana Network ecosystem, especially the testnet. The testnet will continue to grow, and more updates are coming in the upcoming months.
For the “Hanami” role, we will have special perks for community members who receive it. More details will be revealed soon. If you would love to join, we encourage you to check out our medium article.
🌎 Hana Network Around the World
This year, the Hana Network team has participated in many blockchain events to evangelize the Gateway for Babylon and EigenLayer, and forge partnerships. We believe that face-to-face interaction is the best way to connect with people.
Last month, our team members attended Token 2049 in Dubai, one of the biggest events in the region, and the SEA event, which kickstarted the South East Asia Blockchain Event in Thailand.
We will continue to expand our community and partnerships by deploying Hana Network representatives at upcoming events throughout the year.
🟡 Messari Report: Babylon Ecosystem
Thanks to Messari Report researcher Nikhil Chatu for featuring Hana Network in the Babylon ecosystem report. Hana Network is poised to play a major role in the Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem soon.
We will be a solution for onboarding new users from the real world through our on-ramp service, and for blockchain-native users to join the Babylon ecosystem through the Hana Gateway.
💻 Development update
Our development team has been diligently building the Hana Gateway powered by ZKP non-custodial technology since the project’s inception. We’d like to update our community members on the progress made last month.
The Next Update: We are preparing comprehensive documentation for both our community members and developers. The documentation will explain Hana Network's technology for the community and provide developers with the information they need to start building on our Layer 1 Hana Network ecosystem in the next update.
Block Explorer: Our community testers have provided valuable feedback about limitations on the Hana Gateway activity page. They requested a dedicated page to track their on-chain transactions. We’re happy to announce that we’re developing a blockchain explorer that will allow everyone to view live transactions on-chain. Stay tuned for its launch soon!
FHE Discussion: We’re having productive discussions about integrating privacy consulting with an upcoming Layer 2 solution powered by FHE RollUp. This integration has the potential to empower our product and elevate it to the next level.

We’re planning to launch a new campaign very soon to reward our community members and forge partnerships with protocols built on Babylon and EigenLayer in preparation for our launch this year.
