- In my backyard, by the great big olive tree, I breathe rhythmically beneath the ghost of my childhood swingset.
- In a cramped airplane bathroom that teems with peripatetic germs, I shut out the turbulence shaking the cabin side to side.
- On the senior patio, I find a moment of peace (amidst the usual chaos) in the center of the empty Gaga Pit.
- In a worn-down taxi in Hong Kong, I ignore my family’s loving bickering as I sit sandwiched between my brother and my suitcase.
- In my bedroom at 2AM, I desperately try to quiet my overactive mind and, at long last, fall blissfully asleep.
