From the simple to the sublime.

We have settled in to resort life very easily. I could get used to this! Swim before breakfast, amazing buffet in the restaurant, back to the pool for another swim and a read, then ready for the day ☺️

I have decided that my new favourite breakfast food is Vietnamese pancakes , they are a crispy type pancake with chives filled with pork mince and bean sprouts. You drizzle soy sauce over them. Perfect. I have to remind myself that they will be there again tomorrow and not to eat too many. The other thing I can’t stop eating is the passion fruit. They are big and plump and sweet.

The place we are staying is quite a big resort on the beach with beautiful grounds and gardens. We did venture in to the sea yesterday but the rubbish got us back out pretty quickly. I think we will stick to the pool.

We have hired a scooter for the week we are here as taxis get pretty expensive. This has given us some freedom to explore. The drive in to town heads along the coast road and past the fish market and the place where all the fishing boats moor. It is a pretty impressive sight.

Dinner last night was in a food court with all sorts of international dishes. Damen braved the snake!

After the past just over 2 weeks staying here is a bit of a welcome break from the hustle and bustle, the constant people and noise and the smog and dirt. We love all aspects of Vietnam but it can be emotionally draining at times.
