HappiCities Development Model is the perfect solution to the complex real world problems faced by Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

  1. Andhra Pradesh: The future of Amaravati that is stuck in a complex web of land politics and law. And how to avoid that in any future greenfield development (if any) in Donakonda.
  2. Telangana: Help the officials of Telangana to Prepare the New Urban Policy in 2, at best 3 days that satisfies most of the objectives and goals set by the Honorable Chief Minister Shri K. Chandrashekhara Rao Garu like...

”Focusing on planned development and service delivery to the people with utmost transparency, new revenue and rural policies, should not give scope for corruption and they should be aimed at ensuring that there is no room for allowing illegal and unauthorized constructions at all levels, keep the cities clean and ensuring greenery”.

How HappiCities Development Model Helps in resolving these complex situations?

HDM is an inclusive development model for a rurban revolution that includes the land owners and farmers in the development plans.

The core benefits of HDM is that it has only a minor impact on the exchequer, since its largely funded & developed by a dedicated consortium consisting of both public institutions and private companies/startups that brings in private capital funding from several known & trusted sources. Also, the phase-wise self-sufficiency aspect of our model helps in the city to start earning revenues from its residents as the Phase 1 nears its completion and is fully operational. This means faster returns on the investment in real estate and smart city sector. This also decouples the timelines of a fixed-term government with the 10+ years required for the 100% functional & operational HappiCities — a situation that Amaravati faces today otherwise.

I sincerely hope Telangana doesn’t fall into the same pit. It benefits nobody, and everyone looses after elections and change of guard at the state. The biggest being Investors, whose confidence on public sector investments in India would definitely have taken a strong u-turn after AP elections & results. These are the structural and constitutional changes that India needs today to delegate more autonomy to local governance.

What could be the high level action plan for these states?

  1. Amaravati farmers can take help of Shri Jaganmohan Reddy Garu to allow them to adopt the HappiCities Development Model in partnership with the government to develop the are in this model that doesn’t require too much of tax payers money.
  2. Telangana Government can pass a simple & time bounded act that enables the government to work closely with HappiCities Labs to further explore the feasibility & viability of this homegrown (Yes we are a startup in Hyderabad!), new, innovative & disruptive development model and pilot the first phase of a project in Telangana as a MVP or Proof-Of-Concept for future rurbanization (rural & urban) of the state.

Sometimes complex problems needs simple solutions, and we HappiCities Labs are here to serve that simple solution — The HappiCities Development Model.
