Dear Russell

Anglo-Saxon meaning: Fox— is very much a creature of the night

I find it amusing that the meaning of Russell, other than fox, is red haired. Although you are not red- haired, you are pretty much hot headed which is kind of close to red hair, right?

To try to elaborate on how your name suits you, let me start with yes, you are a creature of the night. I will never ever get tired of hanging out late at night with you.

But let me give Russell a different meaning. For one, you are the sweetest, coolest big brother friend I have. Your sometimes annoying reminders and prohibitions are only some of what I love most about having you as a big brother friend.

Russell. Trying hard to be patient (that’s a good thing), sweet, witty, adventurous and fun.

You’re the only Russell I know and probably the only Russell whose name I’m going to give meaning to.

My 2013 was full of adventure, most of which was with you. This year was pretty tough but you’re one of the people that God used to help me pull through. For that, I thank you.

Happy New Year!

Love always,

Kiel
