Sometimes, scientific studies arrive with startling results that no one expected. They have to be carefully analysed, with possible reasons for the results considered and then meticulously tested for us to really understand.

These are the studies that really move our understanding on.

But sometimes, a study comes along and everyone already knows exactly what the results will be. Still, if we didn’t study the super-obvious, we’d never get surprised when our expectations are blown out of the water.

This two-part study did not blow any expectations anywhere, but it’s kind of interesting, especially if you like psychology and nipples, and it shows that these simple things really can affect us all.

Part one of the study was simply around the association with visibly erect nipples on women and the emotions we might project onto the women, and what we might feel about ourselves when we see them.
