Amber of LoveFit Training

This week we interviewed friend of the business, Amber from LoveFit Training, on her first Happy Coffee experience.

We asked her a few questions on why she chose to nominate someone and buy a cup to make someone’s day.

How did you hear about Happy Coffee?

Through you!

How would you explain the concept of Happy Coffee to someone who doesn’t understand how it works?

You donate a small amount of money to buy (or contribute towards) a cup of coffee for a stranger. You can also nominate somebody you know to receive a cup – they’ll receive it when enough other strangers have donated.

Could you tell us about why you nominated someone, and why you like the idea?

I nominated two people for two very different reasons. One is a coffee lover whose birthday I missed, and I felt it would be a nice (slightly belated) surprise for her, as well as a way of recognising her hard work for me. The other was for a friend going through an incredibly tough time right now, and I knew she needed any small act of kindness to help her get through the day

You also bought coffee for a stranger. Could you tell us about that?

Having nominated, I wanted to do the other part too. I paid the full £10 and knew that would mean somebody somewhere instantly would receive a cup.

Could you tell us a bit about how it felt when you received the email about the coffee you bought for someone?

It really was lovely to hear and made me feel good. Plus it’s nice to hear the story behind their nomination.

Would you recommend this to someone else? And who would you recommend it to?

YES!!! I’ll be sharing on social media, in person chatting.

Anything else you want to tell us about the Happy Coffee experience?

Just that I think it’s a lovely idea and I wish you every success with it.
