The Happy Scribe Manifesto

It’s been two months filled with stories since we started Happy Scribe and we couldn’t be happier. We’ve already helped +5000 people and our notebooks are filled with ideas that (we hope!) will remove the pain of transcription.

At this point, we’ve decided to write down the values that guide our work in a manifesto.

Everyday, journalists and researchers face the boring job of transcription. This is not a task that adds value, it’s just a waste of the precious time these people have.

Our mission is to provide the best transcription workflow, at the lowest price.

Just look at the name of our company, it’s quite obvious! We commit to do our best to ensure that everyone is satisfied with our product and has a pleasant experience. Our four hands are fully committed to answer every single message you send us.

You are the ones that face the transcribing problem on a daily basis. We want our product to be built by you and for you. Tell us what is your problem and we will do our best to transform it in a seamless experience for you.

Researchers and journalists play a crucial role in society as they provide us with qualitative knowledge and information. For this reason, we aim to provide a very affordable service that is accessible to as many people as possible.

Helping along the way

We live in an exciting moment of humankind. Computers will soon have human-level intelligence, and we might be able to live in Mars in our lifetime. Nevertheless, this world also has many flaws and serious problems.

Our team is sensible and conscious about this.

We commit to give a part of our profits to fund students in journalism and non-profits that fight for independence of press and research.
