Why I opted in for this future of work

Why I believed on the vision behind this future of work & why should you give it a try?

December, 2015 — I moved on with LetsVenture because by then it had enriched, nurtured and had given me the wings to fly and gifted me the freedom to support any next idea which I could relate to. I joined LetsVenture as it’s 9th team member and by the time I was moving on, it was blooming with 40 strong team pillars. My 1.5 years of experience, as their lead digital marketer, gave me the hands on experience of different verticals of digital marketing — Content writing/ Social Media Marketing/ Graphic designing (disclaimer : I’m still not a pro on this) / Email marketing/ Partnerships.

Along with that, it gave me the platform to engage with investors and startups. My communication with the latter (read — startups) always started with “What’s your story?” And this key question always revealed their story, the connecting dots to relate to their vision and their passion.

One such day, I met Pranav (Founder of Vibrant Work App) over coffee to discuss and know more about his upcoming product. Before meeting him, I had done my homework of researching about his product, team and his vision.

The product pitch at that time said “An intuitive mobile app enabling teams to work better & efficient”. And his personal pitch had “Love building great teams”. Both the pitch had a connecting bridge — “Team”. This made me sure about his vision turning into the future of work.

I found it particularly interesting because during my work experience as a freelancer and as a full time employee, I’ve had my fair share of experience where I had to work alone under pressure or work with team with dependencies and at the same time had the thrust to increase my productivity. I wanted to make sure everyone’s work is visible enough and the time invested over a particular project should make everyone smarter than before (and not merely a hard worker).

While working with a team, I have used many different tools to make sure everyone is on the same page, with transparent work allocation and least dependencies & work iteration. But using so many apps for communication, task allocation, meeting follow ups for performance analysis always drained out the time and the productivity.

When Pranav showed me the initial demo of Vibrant Work App, I was like “why this mobile work app, in this way, with this seamless user experience, was never before?”

The entire 45 minutes of conversation and 2 minutes of demo made me to recollect my thoughts over — what all I could achieve with this app and how it could make anyone more productive :

• The app demo assured flat hierarchy of work with project and sub-task management. That meant, I could be sure of which activity was allocated to whom and could receive real time updates over phone.
• I could include another freelancer/ vendor in my internal project and could give specific access on parts of project which could give me the flexibility to manage internal & external team.
• I never appreciated long chain of emails with missing cc’s and added bcc’s (you know what I mean). Nor, I appreciated anyone reaching out to me at odd times over whatsapp to discuss about work. This app was about to bring secure and quick (personal + group) communication with status updates bringing everybody on the same page, making communication professional and making my inbox zero. Wohooo! A pain-less way to sync and collaborate together.
• Many of the times, it used to be difficult to follow up on the performance. I’ve been a firm believer on “Work hard in silence and let the success make noise”. But this belief does come with drawback of not being visible enough. And, with it’s Performance Analytics feature, I could work in silence and that could reflect real time, pushing me to be more efficient and optimize my time accordingly.
• When my work on a particular project involved other people as well, it was tough for me to remind them again and again and listen “Oh, you not again please”. VIRA, as the virtual assistant, could solve this problem by communicating on my behalf and making me a good person :) Also, it could remind me of the priorities of the day.

Having all these streamlined, in a single mobile app, giving me the flexibility to work as you go on the mobile, didn’t give any second thought to believe on his vision. Because this app was going to solve major pain point of a workplace and was about to bring the future of work and convert the work culture into a happy one, I was delighted to be a part of this idea and contribute in it’s growth.

Someone has said , if you can believe on it, you can market it right. And, that’s how I am with Vibrant Work App, in it’s journey ahead, with the wonderful team, with a common vision to make each workplace a happy and a productive one.
