Part of building a product in agile development is constant feedback and critic from both the shareholders and customers. HappyFresh Fleet Tracker is largely a customer-focused product that helps to ease the process of grocery delivery by providing both the customer and operations team supervision over the driver.

Here, we will discuss how we engage with our users to receive feedback for our customer.

Operations Team

First and foremost: the operational team at HappyFresh HQ. This form of feedback is the easiest to attain as we regularly visit the office at Talavera tower.

As of writing, the operations team has a degree of surveillance over the drivers’ activities, as the immediate position of the driver is updated in a certain interval. However, the problem comes when a complaint comes that the driver is falling short on delivery time. The ops team would need a record of the routes taken in that particular order, what the state of the traffic is, etc. to properly evaluate the driver.

The details of the requirements needed for the administrator UI comes directly from the user, which in this case are the operational team. Feedback is garnered directly by meeting the HappyFresh representatives at their headquarters, and our design is evaluated directly by them.

Customers

For collecting feedback from potential HappyFresh customers, our Hustler has created a couple of survey forms which included a prototype of a working tracker

Collecting feedback from customers in this case is quite tricky. For one, the expectation of a typical geo-location service is largely set by big players such as Gojek and Grab. This results in feedback that are based on the best practice in the market, but results in hindered design creativity for our designers. Another drawback from this method is that the product is not yet deployed, and thus drastically limited in terms of user scope, as the feedback are not received from HappyFresh users.

User feedback is a large part of creating our project. Many of the decisions made (and re-made) are largely results of critic and evaluations. As such, we can conclude that the process of user engagement is a big part of developing such product.
