In this blog, I’ve decoded some of the secrets you could grab from nature about ‘Learning’.

It could help in refining the perspective with which you’ve been looking at the world till now and provide a new outlook on your thoughts.

“Look deep into nature and then you’ll understand everything better.” — Albert Einstein

Nature has always been a mother and a teacher to the humankind. So, let’s quickly jump into the bullets…

1. Learning is ‘Continuous’ and ‘Change’ is the only constant

Change is something people often restrict themselves to.

‘Learning’ incorporates a lot of changes at every step. The circumstances, people, technology, and motion around us keep changing and so does the process. The change accompanied by the process should be anticipated and people must always be ready for it to incur.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them- that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let the things flow forward in a natural way.” — Lao Tzu

2. ‘Modesty’ should be your nature in the process of learning

Learning is a concept that should be amalgamated with humility without a speck of pride within. The grass imparts this secret learning. It portrays humbleness, as a countless pair of feet walks over it every day but it doesn’t complain. It rather grows up unharmed every single time. So howsoever green, opulent it is, it is always humble.

3. Find Your Magic Zone to Survive the process

A phylum, Tardigrade, also known as water-bear is an interestingly tough creature. In harsh conditions, they turn themselves into dehydrated tun, which allows them to survive decades without water, and even in space.

The Artists, world-class performers, or a creators know their zone. A state of mind where no disturbing factor can come close to them.

Your zone could be your work-space, your favorite tool, or a book, that’s totally up to you. But it should be something which can act as an anchor, to keep you attached to the process.

4. Adapt Early in the situation you are put into

In July-1973, two spiders were taken to low earth orbit in a space shuttle. At first, the spider failed to construct a new web. When given more water, it built a second web. This time, it was more elaborate than the first.

The ability to embrace change and sticking to your merits in an altogether different situation is commendable. Adapting early will always give you an edge over the others.

5. Learning is like Symbiosis Process

The knowledge one has come from various sources and endorsed by many.

In collaborative learning, people with similar interest form groups to cut the time in finding the best content and resources for learning and then teaching each other. As an individual, everyone is a student and a teacher.

You learn stuff from others and impart your knowledge to others. It is very similar to the process of symbiosis where different organisms depend upon each other and they survive on that relationship.

So listen to this music and bring a change in your inner self.

To sum up, here is a quick takeaway —

Learning is no longer something we just do in schools.

According to neuroscience the model to effective learning and making ideas stick consists of four key conditions.

  • Attention
    Maintain a single focus.
  • Generation
    Create something meaningful.
  • Emotion
Build a strong connection to what you are learning.
  • Spacing
    Take a break in between
