Grand Launching of the Indonesia Blockchain Hub

Recently, HARA was proud to support the grand launching of the Indonesia Blockchain Hub, a space dedicated to the promotion and development of blockchain technology.

The Indonesia Blockchain Hub (IBH) has the mission to bring together the different Indonesian Blockchain communities, to drive innovation, and to provide education on blockchain technology.

Apart from HARA, the grand launching also enjoyed the support of the Indonesian Blockchain Association (ABI), the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the government agency BEKRAF.

This is a historical moment for Indonesia. This shows that Indonesia is ready for blockchain technology, and Indonesia Blockchain Hub will have a huge effect on how the blockchain ecosystem will grow in Indonesia.”

The speakers for the grand launching of Indonesia Blockchain Hub

During the launch event, several panel discussions were held which featured a wide range of international speakers, renowned in the world of blockchain.

Speakers from over six different countries flew in especially to attend the event and share their thoughts on the future of blockchain technology, and how Southeast Asia can play a leading role in its development.

IBH as the Catalyst for Blockchain Growth in Indonesia

IBH fully packed with enthusiastic attendees!

The potential of the IBH to serve as a center for blockchain education was widely lauded by the many attendees, in order to make sure that Indonesia would not be left behind.

In fact, the general consensus was that Indonesia has great potential to become a leader in the field through initiatives like the Indonesia Blockchain Hub.

“We believe that the set-up of a place like Indonesia Blockchain Hub will accelerate the exchange of information. It can be used to [help] make Indonesia a country that will reap the benefits [of blockchain technology] as early as possible.”

The potential of blockchain technology has also started to be recognized by Indonesia’s regulatory bodies. BEKRAF, a relatively new Indonesian government agency established to accelerate the added value of the country’s creative sector, was one of the main supporters of the event.

“This is the time where our agency can help to support and to foster the blockchain ecosystem, and most importantly we will become the government agency that will echo the importance of the blockchain ecosystem to the other government institutions as well.”

The unveiling of Indonesia Blockchain Hub

HARA is proud to have been a part of the opening of the Indonesia Blockchain Hub, as it is a great leap forward for the development of blockchain technology in Indonesia.

Having a prime location to band together as a community and to discuss and create new ideas in the realm of blockchain will undoubtedly have a great positive impact for not only the Indonesian blockchain community, but also for Indonesia at large.
