HARA Invited to Teach GE about Blockchain
This week, HARA was invited by GE Indonesia to come and share about blockchain and its applications. In a full room, CEO Regi Wahyu laid out the basic concepts of blockchain technology and explained the concept of the data exchange that HARA is building on top of it, which is aimed at enabling the social and financial inclusion of smallholder farmers.

The employees and executives present at the private event made the most of this valuable opportunity and asked numerous in-depth and pointed questions, relating to a wide range of topics.
Questions were not only asked about how blockchain worked in general, but also narrowed down to specifics, for example about if and how value fluctuations are controlled.
The interest of GE in blockchain technology is not something new. Earlier this year, the research and development division of the company announced that it was exploring possible applications of blockchain to connect consumers and producers of renewable electricity.
More recently, it was announced that GE participated in a series A fundraising round for a blockchain based, cybersecurity start-up.
