July Recap: All Things that Filled Our Exciting Month
From attending various events to scoring partnerships with experts, July has proven to be a productive month for HARA. We took HARA to the next level by raising awareness both on national and international scale.
Here are all the activities we did in July:
EVENTS
#1 ICO TODAY Interview in Seoul, South Korea
(July 2nd, 2018) During HARA’s trip to Seoul, HARA’s CEO, Regi Wahyu, was given the pleasure to be interviewed by none other than ICO TODAY. Regi took this as an opportunity to share about the different layers and secrets of our blockchain project to the world.
ICO TODAY is the leading ICO portal in Korea. It provides fast and accurate ICO-related information for numerous blockchain projects around the world. It aims to assist investors in evaluating projects from a balanced perspective, which will lead to the creation of a healthy ecosystem.
#2 Asia Pacific Satellite Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 3rd-4th, 2018) With an audience consisting of numerous leaders, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts, HARA was honored to be invited to speak at the Asia Pacific Satellite Conference 2018. Our CTO, Imron Zuhri, talked about how satellites are an essential part in the big data industry. Satellites can potentially bring significant impact to the industry, especially in the agricultural sector.
APSAT 2018 is the 17th consecutive annual International Conference by the Indonesian Satellite Association (ASSI). This event is acknowledged, recognized, and endorsed by the international telecommunication societies. For this year, the theme was “Satellite Now and Beyond”.
#3 Teleconference with Non-profit Companies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
(July 5th, 2018) Major non-profit companies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia took the initiative to have a Q&A session about data analytics and blockchain technology. The impact of data analytics and blockchain technology has proven to be impressive both to conventional startups and non-profit companies.
Our CTO, Imron Zuhri was honored to be the one answering the CEOs questions. Imron, as an expert, shared informative insight over how these combinations of data and technology can actually be very beneficial to their non-profit companies, which can hopefully turn this opportunity into actual implementations.
#4 Blockchain for Real-World Problems Event in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 6th, 2018) HARA was joined by Cardano’s Emurgo in hosting the Blockchain for Real World Problems event in Jakarta. In a packed room, speakers from both organizations shared with an enthusiastic audience how they plan to use blockchain technology to tackle real problems.
In the event, HARA and Emurgo explained on how they plan to use blockchain to solve real world problems. HARA’s CEO, Regi Wahyu gave a detailed explanation about what we have done to reach our goal to improve the live of billions through data. The Head of Business Development at Emurgo, Shunsuke Murasaki, expressed that Cardano’s goal is similar to HARA, but tackles from a different angle.
#5 BI Bank Discussion on Blockchain Implementation in Farming Sector in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 9th, 2018) Our CEO, Regi Wahyu was invited by the Central Bank of Indonesia to meet Bapak Dwi Pranoto as the Executive Director of the Regional Department II to discuss about possibility of the implementation of Blockchain in the digital economy of agricultural sector in Indonesia. Imron as HARA’s CTO and Anatasof as Senior Product Manager also attended the discussion.
During the productive discussion, the representatives from Bank Indonesia were very enthusiastic and showed lots of interest about Blockchain technology and how it can contribute to create positive social impact. Both HARA and Bank of Indonesia agree that the need to gather valid agricultural data using innovative solutions are essential. We look forward in having more productive meetings with BI and other regulatory bodies.
#6 Blockchain Discussion at Rumah Sasongko in Semarang, Indonesia
(July 11th, 2018) Because of the high interest of the blockchain community in Semarang, we finally held the long-awaited discussion about Blockchain at Rumah Sasongko Semarang with our CEO, Regi Wahyu, as the speaker. The discussion started with Regi explaining on how blockchain works and impacts our life, especially in agriculture. HARA as a blockchain-based data exchange also became the topic of discussion to bring the awareness about this new disruptive technology. The audiences welcomed the coming of blockchain to Indonesia and globally and expressed massive enthusiasm toward the presentation.
#7 Blockchain for Good Society in Seoul, South Korea
(July 16th, 2018) As part of our effort to broaden our horizon, HARA took a trip to Seoul, South Korea to experience the massive blockchain environment that has existed there for more than 20 years. While in Seoul, we had the opportunity to speak at the Blockchain for Good Society Meetup.
In the meetup, we discussed a lot of blockchain implementations, ranging from providing transparency for the food supply chain until ensuring privacy of identity. The goal of this meetup is to share how blockchain can become a tool to create a good impact for society.
#8 Beyond Blocks Summit in Seoul, South Korea
(July 17th-18th, 2018) HARA has taken the liberty of participating in the world-class blockchain conference Beyond Blocks Summit Korea for the opportunity to meet and connect with industry thought-leaders, developers, investors, and enthusiasts. Presented by visionary speakers around the world, HARA is grateful to attend this world-class blockchain conference in South Korea. Not only that, this event took all of the audience into an in-depth discussion on how to apply blockchain in the real world now. Our passionate CEO Regi Wahyu also took part in this conference, discussing with the other attendees about regulation within blockchain technology.
Beyond Blocks is a community that engages like-minded individuals globally through both online and offline platforms. They focus to progress the ever-growing blockchain industry, to highlight why it’s exciting to be involved in it, and how blockchain can be applied to the real world.
#9 Media Workshop about Blockchain in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 19th, 2018) With the world gradually shifting to decentralized data, HARA took the initiative to hold a blockchain workshop exclusively for the media. The reason behind that is because the knowledge of Indonesian media about blockchain is still vague, despite the rising popularity.
With more than a dozen media representatives attending the event, our CTO, Imron Zuhri, and Chairman of Asosiasi Blockchain Indonesia, Steven Suhadi, each had the opportunity to explain about blockchain, and how it can bring the democratization of data.
#10 GE Meetup in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 23th, 2018) HARA was invited by GE Indonesia to come and share about blockchain and its applications. In a full room, our CEO Regi Wahyu laid out the basic concepts of blockchain technology and explained the concept of the data exchange that HARA is building on top of it, which is aimed at enabling the social and financial inclusion of smallholder farmers. Numerous questions flooded the private event, indicating the deep interest of GE in Blockchain and its applications.

#11 Festival Kabupaten Lestari in Palembang, Indonesia
(July 24th, 2018) With the mission to accelerate Indonesian regional economy, HARA come as one of the innovations that attended FESTIVAL KABUPATEN LESTARI 2018 in Palembang. Anatasof Wirapraja as HARA’s Senior Product Manager presented HARA together with its blockchain technology and how it impacts life. The FESTIVAL KABUPATEN LESTARI aims to bring and emphasize the development of sustainable programme on a national scale.
We are glad that on this occasion we had the chance to expand the information and knowledge regarding HARA as revolutionary technology that can be beneficial for many parties in Palembang. We had great times knowing the audiences are participative and enthusiastic about the event.
#12 Deep Dive Agritech in Jakarta, Indonesia
(July 25th, 2018) Talking about HARA’s goal to improve the productive industry, our CMO, Farina Situmorang was delighted to present at the Deep Dive Agritech Talk. The event was attended by numerous agricultural players with various roles. There were government officials, bank representatives, business players, and also enthusiasts, in which all of them expressed great enthusiasm for the event.
HARA also had the chance to answer some inquiries from the attendees through our booth. The questions ranged from basic information about HARA, to technology-centric matters.
#13 Menciptakan Peluang Bisnis dengan Data -UMG in Gresik, Indonesia
(July 25th, 2018) Attended by approximately 100 participants, HARA and Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik (UMG) held an event to talk about the creation of business opportunities using data. The attendees comprised of lecturers and students from UMG.
Besides having a discussion, the attendees also signed a Manifesto for Data Sovereignty in the 4.0 Industry era. This movement aims to achieve transparency, security, and equity for personal data and any added value related to it. This movement is open to all Indonesian citizens who support and understand the value of data in the development of society’s social and economic status.
#14 Membangun Ekosistem Creative dengan Teknologi Blockchain at UNPAD in Bandung, Indonesia
(July 28th, 2018) Bandung, as one of the most creative city in the world, brought the most enthusiastic crowds among all cities we have held roadshows in. We held the Building Creative Ecosystem with Blockchain Technology event at the University of Padjajaran in Bandung on July 28th 2018. Natural-born creative people and hustlers in Bandung gave much of positive energy and responses that levelled up the talks. We are glad that we could spark their interest by providing a platform to share information about blockchain and how it could contribute to creative economic development. Special thanks to Tb Fiki, M Aji Santika, Hamzah Ritchi & Rora Puspita for the impressive talks and also to FEB UNPAD which held this productive event. We are looking forward to holding other eye-opening talks and to collaborate with other academical parties.
PARTNERSHIPS
#1 BOI Research — Partnership Publication
(July 13th, 2018) The partnership between BOI and HARA will focus on solving problems in the agriculture sector that originate from a lack of available data. For example, financial institutions have great difficulties in extending their services to areas and people they have no data on. Even where data is available, the accuracy is below par. BOI has already been contracted to resolve issues like these in the past by doing their own research, but van den Brink thinks HARA will be a game changer in that field. BOI envisions to create three different types of research reports that they will contribute to the HARA data exchange. Apart from creating reports based on HARA data alone, BOI also plans to combine the HARA data with data from secondary sources. Finally, a third type of report will combine the data from HARA with BOI’s own fieldwork.
#2 Jonathan Lee — Advisor Publication
(July 16th, 2018) HARA is pleased to announce that Jonathan Lee, Chief Corporate Officer of Yello Digital Marketing Group (YDM), will join the team in an advisory role.Under his guidance, YDM has grown out to become the number one digital marketing and ad technology group in Korea with over 20 companies across Korea and the South East Asia region. In his advisory role, Lee will also draw on his extensive experience in East Asia’s blockchain investment scene. YDM was a founding member of SIX Network, and Lee helped guide that company to an incredibly successful Initial Token Sale (ITS). Currently, Lee also acts as an advisor to blockchain companies XCHNG and Blue Block Capital.
Lee’s familiarity with the blockchain environment in the region will be a valuable asset to HARA as it continues its business development. In his function as advisor, Lee will focus on assisting with the HARA ITS fundraising process.
#3 Raoul Oberman — Advisor Publication
(July 19th, 2018) HARA is pleased to announce that Raoul Oberman, McKinsey Director Emeritus, will join the team in an advisory role. Oberman is an experienced boardroom counselor in multinational settings and practiced facilitator of change at scale. His areas of expertise range from agriculture power to financial services.
In his role as advisor, Oberman will contribute his extensive knowledge of the agriculture and finance sectors in Southeast Asia. His experience in helping new start-ups develop will be another valuable asset to HARA.
#4 Dr. Muhammad Chatib basri — Advisor Publication
(July 26th, 2018) HARA is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Muhammad Chatib Basri on its Board of Advisors. In the past, he has served as the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Chairman of the Investment Coordinating Board of the Republic of Indonesia, and member of the Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Group of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
As an economic policy expert, Dr. Basri’s advice will undoubtedly be of great help in accomplishing HARA’s mission to empower billions of people around the world.
#5 Hosho Audit — Partnership Publication
(July 27th, 2018) We are excited to announce that our Token Generation Event Contract has been successfully audited by HOSHO, one of the most trusted and professional smart contract auditors and specialist providing blockchain security audits.
Hosho analyzed and documented our contract for quality, security, and correctness. The result officially declared HARA to be safe, and have met the highest industry standards for both security and operability.

(July 31st, 2018) HARA is pleased to announce that the upcoming pre-sale and public sale of the HARA Token (HART) will be managed by QRYPTOS, the exchange run by QUOINE.
