June Recap: 8 Things That Kept Us Busy as a Bee
June was both an active and inspiring month for HARA. From attending various blockchain conferences, mentoring enthusiasts, to presenting HARA in the face of global audiences. There has been many positive responses when we amplified HARA’s goals to the world.
Here are all the activities we did in June:
#1 Blockchain for Social Impact Conference (BSIC) 2018 in Washington DC, United States
(June 1st, 2018) Speaking in front of 55 organizations ranging from enterprises and social impact investors; HARA was honored to be invited as Agriculture & Blockchain panel in this esteemed conference. Our CEO, Regi Wahyu talked about creating a global social impact through blockchain by solving the data problem in agriculture & food sector.
BSIC is one of the most prestigious blockchain events held to generate solutions to address social and environmental challenges referring to the United Nations Sustainable Development Programs.
#2 Discussion with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School in Massachusetts, United States
(June 6th, 2018) We are constantly learning from other experts, and it was a very great opportunity for us when we had the chance to exchange ideas with several talented people from the Ivy Leagues of MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) and Harvard Business School. There were professors, researchers, members of the blockchain community, and digital currency initiatives involved in this inspiring discussion.
In the discussion, we talked about collaborative researches to obtain the best data quality models. We also talked about HARA Token as the foundation of our Token Economy. The discussion resulted in positive responses, with them expressing that HARA is a promising blockchain indeed!
#3 Teleconference with Harvard Business School in Jakarta, Indonesia
(June 21st, 2018) Our CTO, Imron Zuhri together with our Data Scientist Team held a teleconference with the professors and researchers from Harvard Business School. We have explored a lot of topics to initiate a collaboration on how HARA implements the incentives programs for all data players in our ecosystem.
Harvard Business School is the graduate business school of Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. It belongs to the Magnificent Seven group of elite business schools which recognize each other as peers.
#4 HARA Token Launch in Jakarta, Indonesia
(June 25th, 2018) The official commencement of HARA Token was celebrated in our Jakarta office with several memorable events. This event also marks the initiation of HARA Token’s private sale ever. Of course, we invited all the members of HARA Token team, which were very enthusiastic during the event!
Our CEO Regi Wahyu, CFO Alexandra Jatra, and the Chairman of Indonesian Blockchain Association Steven Suhadi each had a chance to present to the audience, explaining about personal ambitions for this blockchain project respectively.
At the end, we also revealed our official billboard, strategically located in Jakarta’s high traffic central business district. This billboard is HARA Token’s first out of home media, and the first blockchain themed billboard to be put up in Indonesia!
#5 Japan Blockchain Conference (JBC) 2018 in Tokyo, Japan
(June 26th — 27th, 2018) Boasting 4000 attendees and 70 exhibiting companies from Japan and overseas, Japan Blockchain Conference was filled to the brim with energetic aura. Our CEO Regi Wahyu attended some interesting presentations and visited several exhibition booths. We also had some meetings regarding future partnership, which was very productive.
During the event, we met several notable people, which Regi took as an opportunity to converse with each of them and briefly introduce HARA. In addition of learning something new from them, HARA gained lots of positive receptions and feedbacks!
Japan Blockchain Conference is the first and the largest blockchain gathering in Japanese history attended by more than 100 experts cryptocurrency, blockchain companies and organizations from all over the world gathering in Tokyo.
#6 HARA Token Meetup at FastX in Tokyo, Japan
(June 27th, 2018) To supply the high demands of curiosity towards HARA, we organized a meetup in Akasaka, Tokyo at FASTx, which is a well-known Japanese technology startup accelerator.
During the presentation, Our CEO Regi Wahyu explained everything about HARA and briefly about Dattabot, which is the company who develops HARA. Aside from a presentation, there was also a Q&A session. The session was lively as many people wanted to ask, ranging from technical questions to business matters. The meetup was concluded with a networking opportunity with all the attendees, with most of them expressing that HARA has a big potential to massively improve the agriculture ecosystem.
We were so glad to have dozens of audiences from various backgrounds interested to know deeper about HARA.
#7 Tech in Asia in Tokyo, Japan
(June 28th, 2018) We were so excited and thrilled when we received an invitation to present about HARA Token at Tech in Asia! We were one of the only 2 companies that has the opportunity to talk in front of some 50 people who were working in Corporate Venture Capitals (CVC) or investment divisions.
There was also a networking session, in which several participants approached our CEO Regi Wahyu and introduced themselves. All of them wanted to know more about HARA’s concept as well as what kind of business opportunities we’re looking for. Some of them even stated that they’re coming to Jakarta and would like to have a further discussion with us!
#8 Startup Weekend in Medan, Indonesia
(June 29th — July 1st, 2018) Held for 3 days in Medan, Startup Weekend is a global event to support startup community where designers, developers, marketers, and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, and launch startups.
We were represented by our Senior Product Manager Anatasof Wirapraja, where he took the stage to talk about HARA and its blockchain technology to the participants. Besides the presentation, we held a mentoring session, where everyone was very enthusiastic to share and collaborate their ideas in the event. We also opened a booth where people could ask anything about HARA, plus join the community!
