Uniting Tokyo’s Blockchain Enthusiast with HARA at FASTx Japan
On the 27th of June, blockchain enthusiasts in Tokyo had the opportunity to get to know HARA in a more intimate setting. The meetup was attended by around 30 people from various fields and backgrounds, with a shared interest to learn more about how HARA plans to use data and blockchain technology to improve the lives of billions in the food and agriculture sector.
The event was organized at FASTx, a Japanese technology startup accelerator. They have hosted meetups for other blockchain companies in the past, which were well received and supported by the community. As the main goal of the HARA event was to meet talent in the blockchain and crypto communities, FASTx seemed like an obvious choice.
Talking about HARA
To start off the event, Regi Wahyu, HARA’s CEO, gave a presentation about HARA and its mission. For many of the attendees this was the first time they heard about HARA and they paid careful attention Wahyu’s presentation. After the presentation was finished, the room was opened up for a Q&A session, which saw some detailed and in-depth questions being fired at the CEO.
The audience consisted of mainly Japanese locals, but several Indonesians who live and work in Tokyo were also present. The attendees hailed from various different backgrounds, ranging from blockchain engineers and start-up founders to professionals from the financial services.
These various backgrounds were represented in the types of questions that were asked as well — both technical matters and business concepts were discussed. Questions about the costs of data acquisitions, possibilities to use data for carbon measurements, and fundamental questions as whether HARA really needs to use blockchain technology were all asked during the session.
Wahyu answered all these questions in a manner that were satisfactory to the attendees, and people were given the opportunity to chat and network. In these discussions the possible benefits of HARA were extensively covered and the general consensus was that it has great potential.
