Announcing the ORM for TDolphin

When we do a Harbour Magazine meeting, it seems that the most important thing are the conferences on various topics. That’s not true. The most important thing are the talks between the attendees, where each one informally presents their experiences and concerns about Harbour.

One of these concerns is the lack of an ORM for Harbour, and at the Calpe meeting there was a lot of discussion on the subject. Carlos Mora and Manuel Calero were the most insistent on this issue, as they have worked with ORM in other languages, explaining the advantages of having such a tool for Harbour.

As a result of these conversations and some subsequent ones in a Harbour Magazine messaging group, Antonio Linares has launched the development of an ORM for Harbour. This ORM will work with FWH-MySql/MariaDB, FWH-ADO and also with TDolphin. The ORM version for TDolphin is free and a first prototype can be downloaded from the following link: https://github.com/FiveTechSoft/ORM-for-Dolphin.
