Harlem Film House and Emmy Award Winner Jerod Couch produce The #MonoLIVE Social Justice Series

On June 18th Harlem Film House CEO CR Capers and Emmy award winner Jerod Couch will present the #MonoLIVE Indie Series Actor Monologue Challenge powered by Backstage. The Live Battle begins at 7:00PM ET via the Harlem Film House’s Streaming platform reaching all major distribution points including Facebook, IG Live, Twitter/ Periscope, Twitch and more.

#MonoLIVE is a new monthly series developed to engage actors during the global pandemic. The goal of the monologue series is to assist, and help educate, filmmakers, content creators and other professionals in the film and music industry.

Each month a new topic or theme is picked for participating artists, with June’s #MonoLive messaging focused on Social Justice. Industry content creators enter to be picked as one of the six contestants to perform during the Actor Monologue Challenge, with thousands of nationwide live viewers. The overall audience choice winner will walk away with a $50 cash prize giveaway from the Harlem Film House. This monthly live event is possible through the collaboration of industry leaders CR Capers, Jerod Couch, the Harlem Film House, Backstage, The Creative Couch, and host Dexia Smith, Marketing Director of The Creative Couch.

“The series is created by an Emmy Award-winning director, Jarod Couch, and NYC’s most progressive arts organization, looking to provide a platform to underrepresented actors of all backgrounds,” said C R Capers, CEO at Harlem Film House. “This event is a gateway to additional castings. #MonoLive is powered by Backstage, and we are thrilled to be working together to provide LIVE monologue series for our community of content creators.”
