About the 8th Annual Hip Hop Film Festival:

The highly anticipated 8th Annual Hip Hop Film Festival will take place from August 11 to August 20 at the renowned Schomburg Center in Harlem. This year’s festival, themed “50 Years of Culture” pays tribute to the diverse narratives that have shaped the unique and influential hip hop culture over the past 50 years. Going beyond rap music, the festival provides a platform for exploring the people, places, lifestyles, and events that have contributed to the transformation of this dynamic American art form into a global phenomenon. With an impressive lineup of films, master classes, live competitions, and more, the festival promises an immersive experience that showcases the breadth and depth of hip hop’s impact.
