Hudlin, Worthington, Kain and More Join the Harlem Film House, Building On Its Groundbreaking Festival, Streaming Network and Metaverse Initiatives.

NEW YORK, September 19, 2022 — The Harlem Film House is bringing top star power with the addition of Warrington Hudlin, Tonya Pinkins, Myles Worthington, Khalil Kain and Ed Young.

Former NETFLIX executive Myles Worthington joins the HFH as he launches his new company WORTHI. He will help guide the organization’s flagship event, the Hip Hop Film Festival, now going into its 8th year. As the organization doubles down on showing the value of stories from the culture (also the festival’s tagline), Worthington will be instrumental in aligning the festival’s mission to it message as it seeks support from the Hollywood community.

Warrington Hudlin, who has been leading the charge in unlocking the power of the Metaverse for creatives, has also joined the Harlem Film Houses Metaverse initiative, along with Tony award winner Tonya Pinkins (currently starring in A RAISIN IN THE SUN at the Public Theater), Ed Young (co-founder of THE SOURCE Magazine) and actor turned director, Khalil Kain (LAMBS TO SLAUGHTER & THE MILLENNIAL). Together they will collaborate with Harlem Film House founder, CR Capers expansive Metaverse programming, including teaching and supporting immersive filmmakers. This will be achieved through groundbreaking programs such as META FILM WORKS, the MALL OF THE METAVERSE and more.

“This is an exciting time for Harlem Film House and the artists around the world that we serve. I am beyond humbled and grateful that these amazing individuals understand that we must be future focused and carve out a space for our stories in new and exciting ways.” says CR Capers. “While we still are grounded in the traditional, I am excited to be at the forefront of merging foundational practices with new technology so we can ensure we have a stake in what is coming next.”
