Frontier Wallet Adds Support for Harmony ONE Token and Staking Added to Frontier Wallet for Android

We are delighted to announce our partnership with Frontier, a crypto wallet that is simplifying how users interact with DeFi applications. Frontier is currently supporting most of the most important DeFi protocols such as Maker DAO, Compound, Uniswap, dYdX, bZx, Synthetix, Set, Kava, and Band Protocol.

Today, Frontier is extending support for Harmony. Currently, Frontier for Android is enabling its DeFi users to create or import their Harmony wallets and stake in a non-custodial manner. Soon, Frontier Wallet will be available for iOS users.

This integration will enable Frontier Android users to seamlessly create Harmony wallets and delegate ONE tokens to validators in a non-custodial way while storing their ONE tokens safely and securely. Existing Harmony users can also import their wallet and enjoy decentralized mobile staking.

Currently there are 76 Harmony validators via Frontier that help DeFi users generate a return which, as of today, is between 8% to 13.34% APY.

How to Stake ONE tokens on Frontier Wallet

Here is a a Step-by-Step guide on how to stake Harmony ONE Tokens on Frontier:

We will divide the guide into two parts

Creation of Harmony (ONE) Wallet
[1.0] Creating new Harmony Wallet
[1.1] Importing Harmony Wallet to Frontier
Native Staking ONE Tokens
[2.0] Staking/Delegating ONE
[2.1] Un-Staking ONE tokens

1. Creating new Harmony(ONE) Wallet

Step — 1 Download Frontier DeFi App

Frontier is compatible with Android devices and can be downloaded from Play Store.

Step — 2 Launch the App and Create Harmony (ONE) Wallet

Launch the App and Click on Proceed which takes you to the Wallet creation page and then Click on Create Multi-coin wallet and Set up your Frontier Pin

Launch Frontier -> Proceed -> Create Multi-coin wallet -> Set up Frontier Pin

⚠️ NOTE: There is no way to recover your PIN if you lose it, Frontier does not store any user information.

Step — 3 Backup your 12 Word Seed phrases

After setting up the Frontier Pin, back-up 12 Word Seed Phrases

⚠️ NOTE: Frontier never stores Seed Phrases and user information, incase of loosing seed phrases. Frontier won’t be able to recover the wallet. We Always recommend users to store their Seed phrases safely and securely where only they can access it.

We now have successfully created a Multi-Coin Wallet.

Step — 4 Access Harmony (ONE) Wallet

To Access your Harmony Wallet. Navigate to Menu -> Change Wallet -> Choose “Harmony” -> Select as Primary

1.1 Importing Harmony (ONE) Wallet

If you already have Harmony Wallet, you can import it to Frontier Wallet in following steps.

Click on Import Wallet -> Choose Harmony or Multicoin Wallet if you want to import multicoin wallet -> Enter your Phrase/ Key-store/ Private key -> Click on Create Pin

You have successfully imported your Harmony Wallet to Frontier

2. Native Staking on Frontier

After successfully creating Harmony Wallet, Let’s load-up the Wallet with some ONE Tokens

Click on Receive -> Copy the address or Scan the QR Code -> Send ONE tokens to your Harmony Wallet.

2.0 Staking/Delegating ONE

Now that we have ONE Tokens in our Wallet, It’s time to put ONE tokens to Work!

Click on “Stake” Option -> Click on Harmony card -> Select Validator -> Enter the ONE tokens to stake -> Click on “Stake” -> Click “Confirm” on final screen.

😎 Pro Feature: When entering the amount of ONE tokens to stake, you can see Estimated Returns when you stake your ONE tokens for 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Year

2.1 Un-Staking ONE Tokens

Staked ONE can be un-bounded from a validator but will be locked up for 1.5 days in order to be available for transfer.

Click on the “Stake” option from Menu -> Click on the Card under staked assets — -> Click on “Unstake” -> Enter the amount you wish to unstake -> Click on the button -> Enter Frontier Pin -> Successful un-bounding.

⚠️ NOTE: ONE tokens will be available for transfer after 1.5 days of un-bounding period. No Rewards will be generated during this un-bounding period.
