Ready for Christmas

For the first time in my adult life I put up a Christmas tree. There was always something sacred about the thought of it, like the only tree that was ever allowed to be lit up was hers.

harper picked out all of the bulbs and ornaments herself — in case all of the purple and pink didn’t give it away — and she was so excited to work on it.

Her elf on the shelf, Sophia, is also making her season debut this evening. It’s basically all harper’s talked about all day.

Needless to say we’re excited and ready for Christmas. Counting down the days until we’re back in Michigan with family and friends.
