Team Harriken

“ কই খেতে যাবে?”— No, I’m not about to tell you how Harriken can help you answer this question, even though it can, that too in the easiest possible way. No. I wrote this in order to let you all know what the most frequently used statement in the Harriken office is. Our social media groups are flooded by selfies at food places. Can you blame us? Food is love. Food is life.

The humans who have worked stomach and soul in order to launch this food-tastic app, are like constellations, lined up together in the name of food. We all believe in spreading the love that we feel while gulping down something delicious, or working towards saving people from food that doesn’t quite cut it.

We’re not your usual nine to five-ers. As clichéd as this is about to sound, we are a team. Team Harriken. And the common denominator among us, apart from the love for food, is that we want to see Harriken reach amazing heights.

With a Founder as eccentric as Adeeb Shams, ideas that seem too ridiculous to ever find their way into reality, come to life. The team comprises people, handpicked by him, who he believes are going to leave their own mark on this company, and he lets them do exactly that.

There are no specific brain storming sessions, it’s an unceasing process. The plans that can’t be implemented now, always stored for later.

We, the Harrikenators who work in the office, are appreciated. We are heard (I’m clearly failing to remind myself that cheesiness should be reserved for pizzas and edible goodies, not articles).

And man, the laughter! A hectic day sure turns itself around and ends up with giggles and meaningless, yet much needed, banter. Everyone is friendly and respectful. Mentors are always pushing the little ones to achieve more, to take more chances, to get out of their comfort zones, while the mentees learn, acquire, and sometimes even motivate.

Harriken is a startup, and it comes with its own engulfing share of workload, and demands us to do work with ownership and devotion, but at the end of day, it all pays off because everything that Harriken achieves, we achieve.
