How exceptional is Netflix’s “The Waterfront”?

Netflix’s The Waterfront, starring Holt McCallany, Maria Bello, Jake Weary, and Melissa Benoist, is arguably one of the best dramas to premiere this year. Further to McCallany, Bello, Weary, and Benoist, rounding out the main cast, The Waterfront also stars Rafael L. Silva, Humberly González, Danielle Campbell, and Brady Hepner.

The Waterfront, created by screenwriter, director, and producer Kevin Williamson, revolves around a North Carolina fishing family. The Buckleys, damaged by decades of questionable decision-making, must grapple to revive their imperiled maritime heritage.
