“What Death Leaves Behind” hits Movie Theaters this Fall
Director Scott A. Hamilton, with “What Death Leaves Behind,” takes the thriller genre to an entirely new level of darkness as he explores cellular memory theory and memory transference.
Scott A. Hamilton’s “What Death Leaves Behind,” a multi-award-winning production, has Hitchcockian influences which are clearly discernible throughout the film.
With a screenplay co-written by Chad Morton, Rachel K. Ofori and the production’s director, “What Death Leaves Behind” revolves around Jake Warren who, after undergoing a kidney transplant operation, begins experiencing reoccurring nightmares he comes to believe are visions of his donor’s murder. Consequently, because of these visions, Henry finds himself taking a darkly dangerous path towards vengeance and the truth behind his donor’s death.
Rachel K. Ofori, the original casting director for “What Death Leaves Behind,” brought together Christopher Mann, Vincent Young, Erin O’Brien, Johnny Alonso, Alexandra Tydings, Shaira Barton, Amanda Diaz, Kelly Dowdle, and Khalil McMillan to realise the director’s vision for the production.
Hamilton wore many hats so that “What Death Leaves Behind” could be seen on a movie theater screen. In addition to being co-writer on the script and occupying the directorial chair, it should be noted Hamilton worked in the sound department as the supervising sound editor, was responsible for the production’s cinematography and the film editing.
