In 2009, Hart was invited to speak at the Naval Academy on “Generational Leadership” in its hallow hall. He brought along his grandfather — who had served in the navy.

Hart talks about the lessons which that opportunity gave him. Watch as Hart describes their reaction to his speech. Hart’s 10 Military Initiatives.

  1. Higher Compensation / Stronger Healthcare Service-members have ambition; knowledge; passion, and should be treated accordingly. Especially since our GDP has been increasing. The current trends are not helping the average military person.
  2. Technology We’re being beat on the technological front. The separation between Public/Private contractors is expensive. We must consolidate our resources and unify for the common good.
  3. Climate Science Needs to be addressed/changed. Military must transcend and utilize technology and focus on humanitarian efforts.
  4. Humanitarian Efforts Not just on Climate Change. America should be the “Helping Hand” — assisting others with logic/reason.
  5. Being Strong and Lethal in a less aggressive fashion Our perception of the world must translate to action.
  6. Less Nuclear Arms No need to spend trillions on additional weapons. Our inner cities, schools, transportation are struggling.)Increase
  7. Cybersecurity The wars of tomorrow are on computers, phones and drones. Things are changing; we must be ready.
  8. More Jobs in Technology after Discharge We’ve created soldiers. Why should we have any differentiation from the path? They should continue to ascend the ladder once out of the service.
  9. Veterans We need to learn from them; make them part of the family.
  10. Family Values Increase communication between families and deployed service members.
