Harvesting’s Loan Origination App for Agriculture Lenders
Today, we’re excited to launch our mobile ‘Loan Origination’ app for agriculture lenders. You can download it from Google PlayStore here.
It’s very important for lenders to be able to capture and assess the financial needs of farmers timely, accurately and efficiently. However, current data collection and loan origination apps are not designed for the needs of agricultural lenders.
Based on our experience working with agriculture lender across the world, Harvesting’s Loan Origination app has several features we believe are salient for lending to the agricultural sector:
Integrated: The application is fully integrated with Harvesting’s agri-lending suite allowing loan officers to collect farmer data at the farm, and a credit score to be generated in near real time.
Offline: Given that farmers may live in remote areas where internet availability and cellphone signals may not exist, this application works offline, allowing loan officers to survey farmers and collect loan applications offline. Once the device is online again, the data is uploaded to Harvesting’s cloud.
Configurable: This app is designed to be configurable to a lender’s particular needs, allowing customers to choose the data they need for their loan assessment. Clients login to their Harvesting online account, select recommended fields or add the fields they like, and hit ‘publish to mobile’ to finish the process.
Different loan types with different data requirements can also be configured on the website and available on the mobile app.
Geo Data: Our application will soon allow loan officers to capture the farm boundaries of borrowers enabling lenders to identify, measure and monitor crop activity using Harvesting’s Agriculture Intelligence Engine.
Lightweight: This application is optimized to utilize only a small amount of a device’s memory and processing, allowing lenders to run this application on a wide range of entry-level, Android-based smart devices.
Multi-device support: This Android application not only works on smart phones, but is designed to also work on most Android tablets. This gives lender flexibility in choosing devices to work with Harvesting’s integrated agriculture lending suite.
This is Version 0.1 of our application. Expect new and exciting features and enhancements on a regular basis.
