HasGeek is bringing Anthill Inside to Pune for the first time. There is a miniconf — a full day of talks — followed by a day of workshops. Check out the schedule here: https://anthillinside.in/2017-miniconf-pune/#schedule

Walkthrough
Here’s a quick walk through of the talks, and what you can look forward to:
- The day begins with Ajay Kelkar discussing what it takes to embed analytics into the fabric of your organization. Ajay is the co-founder of Hansa Cequity and is a firm believer in the use of analytics for driving organizations on the growth path. Don’t miss his talk — it’s worth more than breakfast!

- The next couple of talks are for engineers who loathe / love math. New entrants to data science will also benefit from Vishal Gokhale’s explanation of linear regression and Harshad Saykhedkar’s lecture on why Bayesian analysis is useful for solving complex decision problems.
- Leelavati Narlikar followed by Dinesh Kandhari and Satish Gopalani talk about real-life application of ML in molecular biology and advertising — a curious combination. But that’s how the world of data is!
- Post-lunch, Shourya Roy will walk participants through NLP and the problem of text similarity. For those who work on fraud detection, this will be an excellent class to get your fundamentals right.
- The last three talks of the day focus on the infrastructure aspects of deep learning, big data and machine learning. Saurabh Agarwal elaborates on the role of computational optimizations for training Deep Learning models. Swapnil Dubey and Ekansh Verma share a comparative analysis of cloud infrastructure for those want to do data science on the cloud. Jayesh Sidhwani closes the day with his opinion on Apache Kafka in building real-time applications with ML.

Who should attend?

  1. Engineers who want to learn mathematical concepts relevant to ML and DL.
  2. Engineers who are building data pipelines and mining data in real-time.
  3. Architects and decision-makers who want to implement effective analytics in their companies.
  4. Masters and doctoral candidates interested in understanding requirements and applications of concepts in the industry.

There’s something for anyone who is interested in analytics, ML, data science and big data. Don’t miss this opportunity to polish your concepts, or to get started on your journey with data.
