What are you going to learn at Anthill Inside this year?
The last 5 years has seen significant progress in many CV, NLP and RL problems. The advent of powerful GPUs along with insights from last two decades has made inroads into problems that were thought to be unsolvable in the near future. How can these newly solved problems be used for building AI products?
Anthill Inside stitches the gap between research and industry. Speakers at the 2018 edition include Prof. Vineeth Balasubramanian (IIIT-H), Dr. Partha Talukdar (IISc), Prof. Pushpak Bhattacharya (IIT Patna), coupled with industry presence from InMobi, MakeMyTrip, Reliance Jio, Huawei, Intuit, Stasis.

Siddharth Kshetrapal, editor of JSFoo 2018 and an active member of the ReactFoo community is hosting a beginner level workshop on React in Bangalore. Arwa and Kiran, past speakers at ReactFoo will be conducting the same workshop in Delhi.
The workshop will cover the basic internals of React, before exploring how to “think in React”, the best practices and solutions to real problems that you will experience while building an application.
Advanced React Workshop
React on it’s own has a very small API surface. Most of the magic happens in user-land. It feels like every month, someone from the community finds an innovative way of writing components. This is the best part about React — the creative community.

Bootcamp: Learning representations of text for NLP
Think of your favorite NLP application that you wish to build — sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, machine translation, information extraction, summarization, recommender system, to name a few. In this bootcamp, we will understand key concepts, maths, and code behind the state-of-the-art techniques for text representation.
This is a two-day hands-on event led by Anuj Gupta to help you learn and implement end-to-end deep learning models for natural language processing.
- Day1 will cover introduction to text representation, old ways of representing text, followed by a deep dive into embedding spaces and word vectors.
- Day2 will cover more advanced techniques of representing text such as Paragraph2vec/doc2vector techniques and various architectures for char2vec.
