DevOps in Payments

8 July 2017, Mumbai

Building on the discussions and talks we had at 50p earlier this year, we are organizing a conference in Mumbai to talk specifically about devops in the payments industry.
More specifically, how to deal with service availability, security, interoperability, and compliance.

If you’d like to propose a talk (or view all the submissions), visit https://rootconf.talkfunnel.com/devops-for-payments-2017/

You can buy tickets at https://50p.in/devpay2017/#tickets

The Fifth Elephant

27–28 July 2017, Bangalore

The Fifth Elephant is an annual gathering of data scientists, analysts, researchers, and technologists working in the areas of data mining and analysis, data science, machine learning, and deep learning from different domains.

We reopened the CfP for The Fifth Elephant on Monday. Tutorial, talk and off-the-record (OTR) proposals should be submitted by 10 June.

We have put together four OTR sessions for The Fifth Elephant:
A. Data privacy: With companies acquiring large volumes of customer data, privacy is an important concern. In this OTR, we discuss domain-specific concerns — micro-lending, healthcare, payments — around data privacy in India.
B. What are the interesting problems to solve with data science? In 2016, we noticed developers wanting to switch careers to data science. In 2017, the moot question is data science for what? What solutions require data science application?
C. Failure stories: We invite participants to share gravest and silliest disaster stories with data and ML, and learn from each other.
D. Building data pipelines: What are the architectural and implementation challenges in this process? How and why do you make technology and architecture choices? Let’s talk!

More details about OTRs will be published on The Fifth Elephant website and blog by next week.

If there is a topic you want to discuss, propose an OTR session. Head to: https://fifthelephant.talkfunnel.com/2017
