Talk videos from Rootconf, upcoming workshops, The Fifth Elephant events and more this week on the HasGeek newsletter 💌

Hello there!

Last week, on 10 and 11 May, we hosted 400+ attendees at Rootconf, HasGeek’s annual conference on DevOps, SRE and security.

Day 1 of the conference covered talks on security. The highlights of the day were talks by Pukhraj Singh, Rachna Khaira and the closing panel discussion on large-scale infrastructure security.

Day 2 covered various tooling, architecture and process related issues with DevOps. Shobhik Bhattacharya’s talk on error management and Kashif Razzaqui’s talk on immutable infrastructure were most appreciated.

Participants liked the Birds of Feather (BOF) sessions on container strategies, technical debt, future of DevOps, and others.

Since BOF sessions aren’t recorded, we will be carrying summaries of the discussions on the Rootconf blog in the next few weeks.

If you participated in Rootconf or attended Anand Chitipothu’s workshop on microservices, you’d like to indulge in the debate about microservices which Rootconf speaker Kashif Razzaqui has articulated in his blog post.

Meanwhile, catch all the recorded talks on HasGeek TV.
