Todd Crosslin joined Hashmap on Tap podcast host Kelly Kohlleffel to discuss the rapid evolution of data in the healthcare industry. Todd is the Global Head of Healthcare and Life Sciences at Snowflake where he and the team are assisting clients across all healthcare industry segments to build new data products, share and exchange data, and monetize data assets through the Snowflake Data Cloud. Todd was an early tester of Snowflake during his time at PDX. Although Snowflake was just a startup at that point, Todd was blown away by an early demo where Snowflake loaded 2 billion pharmacy claims in 8 minutes. “[Snowflake] just works.” Today, Todd oversees a wide variety of Snowflake use cases in healthcare and life sciences for providers, health systems, and pharmacies.
In this episode, Todd explains how Snowflake is transforming the healthcare industry as data quality is rapidly improving. Snowflake provides the power to take in massive amounts of new data and gain valuable insights to make life-saving decisions. Todd also shares his journey from thinking foreign service to healthcare to tech and the importance of servant leadership.
