43% of people interested in Bitcoin are women

A recent report published by Bitcoin fund operator Grayscale suggests that 43% of investors interested in Bitcoin are women.

A new study by Grayscale found that 43 percent of investors interested in bitcoin are female and that men and women share similar perceptions on crypto assets.

Despite the opinion about male dominance in the bitcoin industry, Grayscale Investments researchers found that 43% of investors interested in the first cryptocurrency are women.

The company conducted a market research survey in the U.S. on the following criteria:
- age between 25 and 64 years;
- ownership of $10,000 or more of the investment assets;
- annual family income of at least $50,000.

From March 28 to April 3, 2019, 1,100 people took part in the survey. 56.2% of the women and 56.4% of the men surveyed see Bitcoin as a promising investment. At the same time, 49.8% of women and 49.9% of men believe that limited issuance will affect future price increases.

47% of women compared to 39% of men considered this particular moment to buy Bitcoin to be appropriate. More than half of the respondents stressed that the possibility of buying only a fraction of the coin was an important factor for them.

Women added that they needed educational materials about Bitcoin. A significant difference between women and men was found for investment purposes: while the majority of women’s investments should ensure the financial security of the family, men’s desire to get rich was common.
According to the study, 44% of women and only 22% of men feel insecure about investing. Women are also more pessimistic about the growth of the American and global economies than men.
