Burger King starts accepting Bitcoin in Germany

Almost ten years ago Laszlo Hanyecz made the first documented purchase of a good with Bitcoin. On May 17, 2010, he offered 10 000 BTC for two pizzas that should have been delivered to his house. Today every cryptocurrency user has an amazing opportunity to buy almost everything for BTC. Recently the German branch of global fast-food chain Burger King started accepting crypto payments for its goods and services.

Bitcoin appeared on its official website, but it is unclear whether cryptocurrency is also accepted in all Burger King restaurants in Germany. The company embraces Bitcoin not for the first time. In 2017 Burger King Russia introduced a new virtual currency called Whoppercoin. The same year local BK restaurant in Arnhem, Netherlands, started to accept Bitcoin as a payment method.
