Just like the traditional chocolateria of Spain, San Churro is a destination for friends to come together and share a sweet moment. Where every amigo is welcome to celebrate life, the Spanish way. Churros (Spanish doughnuts) are hand-crafted in-store using a traditional recipe and delivered straight from the Spanish churrera to your plate, served with cinnamon sugar and only the best couverture chocolate.

San Churros delivers a unique experience to its customers. But they wanted a customer loyalty & engagement strategy in place that could make sure they keep their customer coming back through their doors.

The San Churro Loyalty Program

Keeping the audience and ambiance of San Churro’s in mind, we created an engagement program that would help identify, segment and retain the increasing customer base as well as track their consumption behavior. To add to the simplicity and ease of use, the loyalty program was integrated into Hashtag Loyalty’s partners & San Churro’s POS Sanguine. A loyalty program integrated with their Sanguine POS enabled them to capture 100% of their customer data as well as record consumption patterns on Hashtag Loyalty. The San Churro loyalty program rewarded customers 1 point for every rupee spent.

The customer experience

At the time of billing, a customer needs to provide her mobile number that the staff will input on the POS. Post each purchase a customer will receive points and different rewards will get unlocked as she accumulates a certain number of points. Once a reward is unlocked, a customer just needs to ask the staff to redeem the reward at the time of payment.

  • Over 6000 customers have been onboarded onto the program with more than 490 rewards redeemed.
  • Customer satisfaction score is 4.38 out of 5 stars, more than that over 19 poor experiences have been taken care of. Negative feedbacks have a larger impact on your brand than a positive one, it’s extremely important to address them adequately.
  • Over 250 at-risk customers, lapsed or lost customers have been won back from auto campaigns.
  • Customers who have redeemed 5 or more rewards, the loyalists are spending 39% more than customers who haven’t redeemed a reward (and are not invested in the loyalty program).
