Before HAVAH, I spent over 18 years in the IT and gaming industry. I have been fortunate enough to have come into contact with many different ideas during those years including when I was in charge of business operations for Daum’s Agora platform, Korea’s #1 online debate forum as well as Black Desert, the MMORPG with over 40 million users worldwide, as CEO of game startup 2bytes, and more recently as I got involved with the blockchain and NFT world.

Regarding blockchain and NFTs, I’ve seen a wide range of views including those that are optimistic, those that are more cautious, and those that are critical of the industry.

“Isn’t all the hype around NFT projects just a bubble?”
“Do blockchains actually create real value?”
“Aren’t NFTs just a piece of digital receipt?”

As someone who comes from the gaming industry, I’ve come to the following conclusion.

It is my belief that blockchains and NFTs can maximize their technological utilization if we focus on the “fun” of it. Until now, the Web 2.0 online network games have been serviced in a way where everything will disappear once the developer terminates the game service including any game items the user may have acquired during gameplay. However, if we can attribute game items to NFTs, users will be guaranteed the value of their in-game assets, safe transactions, as well as expansion and use of their items in other games and services.

Additionally, these days it’s quite easy for online games to run into a lot of potential criticism from players during live service for a myriad of reasons, but operating under a DAO model may solve a lot of these problems. Then the question is, has there been a truly high-quality Web 3.0 game that incorporates the scalability of assets as well as being fun? I’m not entirely sure.

As a gamer myself, I personally dislike the expression “play to earn”. Before games can be a means to earn money, they have to be fun above all else. With that in mind, I’d like to take on the challenge of making a top-notch Web 3.0 game where game items that you acquire actually become yours — an entirely new category of games where you play to get (“P2G”).

Through the culmination of these ideas, we have been developing a new W3 game to put on HAVAH. This project is dubbed Project CG (Crypto Gears), the NFT robot strategy game.

The world of CG is set on Mars 200 years from now and Mars is the new frontier of human exploration. Players select a site for a Mars base, collect resources and build up an army of robots. They can battle other players in real-time and continuously upgrade their robots in a modern RTS style format. Our team of 50 developers are working around the clock to bring you a quality game and we hope to show it to you soon.

CG is slated to be the first game on the HAVAH platform. Aside from CG, HAVAH will eventually feature a trading card game (TCG) using PFP NFTs, a game featuring SPQ, HAVAH’s self-issued NFT, and other game s that optimize the NFT experience.

The AMA LIVE will talk about HAVAH as a Web 3.0 project that is grounded in “real ideas” that is actually “fun”, and not just baseless talk for yet another hyped up project without a real plan. If you are interested in the future of the HAVAH project and where HAVAH DApps will be going in the future, I encourage you to check it out when it is released.

Thank you.
