Greetings HAVAH community members!

My name is Glory Lim and you may know me as the HAVAH project lead.

I wanted to reach out to all of you because today is the official launch of the HAVAH platform and service. I am sincerely excited to showcase the culmination of our hard work over the past year. In this regard, our team is very grateful for the interest and support you’ve shown in our project.

In a previous medium post, we talked briefly about how the HAVAH project began and our vision for the world of NFTs to be free and limitless across many areas of life that are realistically relevant for the user.

Having started in the blockchain world since 2016, I’ve personally experienced many ups and downs along with the rise and fall of Bitcoin like many of you in the community.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have received an ‘Etherium Since 2017’ badge

Depending on how I was doing, at times I felt certain that everything in the world would eventually consist of blockchains, and on other days I felt gloomy fearing all coins would eventually become nothing more than digital trash. This rollercoaster ride has given me a lot of food for thought and insight into the world of blockchains, culminating in a singular dilemma.

“When will the practical value of blockchains be widely recognized?”

Fortunately, it turns out that I wasn’t alone in this dilemma. I am grateful to have joined forces with ICONLOOP CEO Jonghyup Kim, a leader in developing blockchain technologies, as well as 2bytes CEO Ham Young Chul, who has been working tirelessly to answer the question of how to gauge the inherent value of the recent P2E game trend and the opening of the DeFi era.

After hearing their thoughts I felt more confident that together, we could answer these questions, and build a project that was lasting and meaningful. This is what gave birth to project HAVAH.

.

The first iteration of our collaborative efforts was named “Spera”, but there were some shortcomings in the sense that the platform was focused too much on P2E games and didn’t do enough to foster the widespread adoption and use of blockchains on a larger scale.

We worked on a more comprehensive entertainment platform that not only focused on games, but gave users more options about how to use their NFTs. This naturally widened the scope of the project to encompass art, social media, among other things that could be useful.

With the increasing scale of the project, the HAVAH team has grown to include 70 people from 3 different companies. There’s Web3 Solutions, who have been leaders in the blockchain industry for a long time leading the business side of things, ICONLOOP, providing the interchain blockchain technology necessary to increase the utilization of NFTs, and 2bytes, in charge of developing the core lineup of DApps including the sci-fi strategy game Space Gears and the SPQ NFT as well as conducting marketing and operations. Along with the partner companies, there are also four lead advisors from various fields who have been providing their valuable insights along with investors who have chosen to invest in the future vision of HAVAH. All have been working as one team to lend their expertise and strengths while helping to alleviate any potential shortcomings that the other may have overlooked.

Many blockchain project teams operate anonymously, choosing to let the technology speak for itself instead. However, as the blockchain industry itself has matured, trust in the team has also become important.

Not only is the technology behind the project important, but communication with the people who will be using it has become paramount for any project these days. We wholeheartedly believe that building a culture of trust and rapport with the community will determine the success of the HAVAH ecosystem.

We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all members of the community who have been showing support and giving feedback during the pre-release events that we’ve prepared ahead of the official launch of the Planet (node) and DApp. We’re also already working on launching more services on the HAVAH platform in the near future, and would like to assure you that despite the fact that the benefit of recent events may feel paltry right now, going forward, we will do our very best to make sure that your support leads to the development of the HAVAH ecosystem in a way that supports the vision of the project in realistic and practical ways.

Here in Korea, the weather has recently gotten quite cold and the mood of the markets may seem so as well. Although we can’t deny that winter has come, HAVAH will continue to work to herald a future where the practical value of blockchains are widely recognized by the time spring comes around again.

Finally, project HAVAH has officially launched after a year in development. We hope the community will share in our enthusiasm for a bright future ahead.

Thank you.
