Tyler Gordon, the 14-year-old artist prodigy who went viral with his freehand portrait of vice president-elect, Kamala Harris, and TIME Magazine cover art of Lebron James for the publication’s ‘Athlete of the Year’ issue, has taken the world by storm with his endearing story of triumph and artistic renderings of some of today’s most recognisable politicians, celebrities, athletes and influencers.
With the global pandemic severely limiting the ability to showcase art in a traditional gallery experience, Tyler with the assistance of Arnold NYC, Havas New York and the Hudson Square Properties Joint Venture, will be showcasing portraits from his ‘ICONS COLLECTION’ series in the windows of 200 Hudson Street in New York City — Havas’ New York building. The collection, which will debut today on Martin Luther King Day, features an array of portraits of iconic individuals who have inspired the young artist and impacted his everyday life.
Tyler Gordon, at the age of 14, is one of the most inspiring and magnetic young artists in the country. And his astounding talent is only surpassed by his thoughtfulness, magnetic personality and ability to inspire others to overcome adversity through art. Havas will always support artists, especially young artists who have the personality, will, values and talent to have an impact on so many others.
