1 Week, 3 Highlights, \infty Dogs
I have loved my spook-tacular first week at Havas Media Boston. From the day I arrived, I felt very welcome by Kerry, my mentor, and the friendly performance team. Even in the space of just a few days, I have attended a fantastic array of meetings and trainings, which have given me a great insight into the day to day of the agency.
Three things which have really stood out to me so far are as follows.
Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
There is a clear belief in true teamwork in the performance department in Boston. Practically, this is demonstrated through things such as daily stand up meetings to run through tasks and agree on priorities, clear training schedules for new starters and a sense of working together to deliver the best for the client. This is a value I share and something I love to see at the forefront of how they work together. It even extended to the team’s Halloween costume competition — hard luck Family Feud, there is always next year!

Amazon Primed
Beyond just being a reference to the fantastic performance the team sees on this platform - presented in an engaging case study in the October all agency Townhall meeting - this references the integral role Amazon plays in the strategy of various multi-channel clients. I can’t wait to learn more about how the team here in Boston uses this platform and works with Amazon as a partner.
Dogs Dogs Dogs
It seems everyone at Havas Boston, and the city in general, LOVES dogs! Timing would have it that I have been able to watch not one, but two Halloween pet parades. These alone have demonstrated the city and its residents’ affinity for man’s best friend! I feel like doggie desktop screensavers and puppy training anecdotes are going to keep me well amused for the rest of my time here.

After a jam packed first week, I’m excited to make the most of the chilly but bright fall weather this weekend and explore the local tourist hot spots — after watching the Celtics play the Knicks of course! Stay tuned for more Lofts Learnings in the coming weeks.
