1. You won’t find your usual office values

First in the pool!

The first thing you’ll notice when you enter, regardless of what floor, is what I can only describe as a giant ‘to-do.’

First in the pool.

Dream shit up.

Work that works.

These are only 3 of the many office values that decorate the office, acting as conscious reminders of what Havas Australia stands for.

2. They have an integrated offering… for real!

Host Havas Launch Party!

Many agencies claim to be integrated, or have only recently kicked off the process in becoming so. Perhaps a common email address and shared calendars, an acquisition or two, a new presentation deck.

BUT. Do the teams actually and effectively collaborate? Have the processes evolved to consider different services? Is there a true understanding and respect for each discipline? The list goes on. It’s not an easy thing to do, and Havas Australia has nailed it.

In fact, today I joined the teams at the official Village welcome party for Host — and while they have been a part of the Havas family for a while, they are officially moving in this month.

But that hasn’t stopped them from collaborating and pushing the integrated mindset. In my short stay, I’ve already attended three meetings with both teams on client projects, some here, and some there.

3. They’re home to a Woman of the Year

Women in Media Awards

The Women in Media Awards — an award that recognizes exceptional women who have achieved success in their professional arenas — celebrates their invaluable contribution through leadership, innovation and courage in the industry.

Imogen Hewitt

And just this past month, Havas’ very own Imogen Hewitt, Chief Strategy Officer (Havas Media) and Joint Executive Strategy Director (Havas Group), took home the biggest honour — Woman of the Year.

While I was lucky enough to attend an event that Imogen hosted for Women in Data, where she also presented the Meaningful Brands 2017 study, hopefully I can also sneak an hour coffee in her calendar before I leave!

That being said, Havas Australia is home to some of the best talent in the country which leads me to...

4. Everyone in the country wants to work with them

Really. I have yet to come across an agency actively working on so many new business pitches, on top of the business of current projects. A testament to the power of their office values, the effectiveness of a truly integrated team and the phenomenal people that make up this team.
