The second week of Lofts is a risk, you already crossed the first days, full of excitement and expectation and start to think about the real experience you are living.

Monday started in a great way, especially for a Lofter that wants to understand as much as possible on how the host agency really works: at 9 o clock was the Monthly Media Breakfast. Not an easy approach to start the week: a thick hour spent with the entire agency and Tom, the CEO, speaking about the next prospectives, the upcoming challenges but also about his vision of the agency. What surprised me even more was the opportunity for anyone to be part of the discussion: everyone sitting around the same table sharing their thoughts on the Agency and the work.

Another great opportunity during the first week was getting the chance to join a relevant Pitch in a Village meeting: Media, Creatives and Plastic Mobile (a specific Company of Havas Canada focused on Mobile & innovation)

So many different skills and experiences, together since the firsts steps, deep diving into a Brief, (I’ve never seen this before) — discussing for long time about the opportunities, barriers, drivers to growth of the products of the client. Meaningful.

This week we started a sort of induction with the specific areas of the Agency, first of all: Plastic.

I was really curious about them for two main reasons: the first one because I’ve never heard about it, in Italy there isn’t a specific company with Software developers that works all day long on Innovation in such a creative way. The second is that they set up the most surprising part of the office: the “Lab”. An entire area of the building organized for work, relax and…make! They build up a lot of different ‘creatures’: all with the objective to be smart and meaningful, I’ve never seen the concept of “Internet of Things” so well represented.

At the end of last week, the main keyword was “CHANGES” this week I’m pretty sure it could be “MEANINGFUL”. I really noticed great passion and involvement. This is not a big difference compared with my local agency, but for sure the smaller size of this agency lets the people interact and go into the processes in a deeper and stronger way
