Every agency operates differently and has a way of working that just well, works and Havas Lemz is no exception. Often agencies are shaped and molded over time by key members of the team, who inherit or apply new ideas and approaches to tackling the everyday.

Something I realised on my very first day here is that Havas Lemz is unique and different to anywhere I’ve worked in the past. Less process, more time for creativity, more time to stop and think. Here they try to make the world a little bit better through creativity and believe in meaning over money. (The dream, right?)

Here they operate in zones. Each zone is responsible for a client or multiple clients in some cases. Each zone is made up of a Zone Manager, Creative Director(s), Creative team(s), Producers (Client Services) and Strategists. Then the design/studio departments work across all zones, ensuring creative ideas are brought to life, polished and print ready.

The benefit of having a dedicated team is they are 100% absorbed into the brand. Everyone builds up a personal connection and relationship with the client directly and become even more passionate and involved. Someone who lives and breathes the brand can only be a good thing.

Flexible working hours are definitely a thing here. Fridays are super quiet and peaceful around the office. A vast contrast to earlier in the week when I involved in producing a series of visuals to accompany a large client presentation. We produced a 96 page mini booklet full of facts, humorous copy, photography and illustration, which is all part of the bigger picture. Including a mood board for a TVC, news articles, a series of press adverts, packaging and application of the brand. Exciting to hear how the meeting with client goes, ( I would sit in but my Dutch isn’t great!). It involved a late night but everyone still managed to keep positive, calm and as laid back as ever, with a sit down break to ensure we all ate together.

Week 2 is almost over, the time is whizzing by. A constant aroma of freshly ground coffee is wafting through the office, as a meeting takes place in the room opposite where I’m working. The sun is shining and all is well.
