Voilà, week 2 has come to a close — seems like time is moving so quickly!

After the initial shock of week 1 ended, I found it much easier to settle in this past week. My college level French is slowly trickling back into my memory and it at least makes it easier to understand… speaking still proves to be a challenge unless wine is involved —beaucoup de vin, pas de problème. Unfortunately, even in France, I think drinking at work is frowned upon, so I leave my French speaking to the evenings in cafés.

It is great to see the Havas Village alive in Paris. Working in the Havas Digital Factory, collaboration is key. HDF works with all the Havas agencies in Paris and globally — Havas Düsseldorf, Havas Africa, Arnold Boston, Havas Paris, Les Gaulois, Havas Media France, London Work Club… to name a few. It’s inspiring to be among them during this time of expansion — their efforts across the entire Havas network increase daily. In any given day, we’ll have an in-person meeting or a Skype call with any of these agencies, all to better serve our clients as a #HavasVillage.

Yesterday proved to be a very interesting and productive Havas Village day.

I was invited by a fellow Lofter to join a strategy/brainstorm session (in English!) at Havas Media for one of our major airline clients. Teams from Havas Dubai (didn't even know we had an office there!!), Havas London, and Havas Spain flew in for the occasion with the ultimate goal: make our client “the most digital airline in the world.”

Seemed like a daunting task, but with so many different media, creative and strategy disciplines represented, we were able to achieve some amazing ideas by the end of a very long day! #ItTakesAVillage

Looking forward to another week in paradise!
