« I need to get to know London again. Breathe it in. Every quiver of its beating heart. » — Sherlock Holmes.

The Sherlock Holmes is also the closest pub near my hotel…I’ve been inspired.

So this is the end… Times flies, really so fast !

I’ve been recently asked what I will miss the most about London when I leave. I’ve been thinking a lot of things but here are my main points :

1The splendid and big pieces of « nature » inside this beautiful city : parks of London of course ! While I’ve been a couple of times, I discovered my new favorite one thanks to Lofts: Holland Park. So British, quiet with its Japanese garden…So relaxing. Definitely a place to go!

Holland Park, Regent’s Park and Kensington Gardens
St James Park

2My second point is not specifically about London but more linked to the Anglo-Saxon culture : their wonderful Christmas spirit and ads ! As I’m a Christmas addict, I fit in so well here…watching the latest John Lewis ad #BustertheBoxer or even better the Heathrow ad #BestGiftOfAll, already 2.4 millions view on Facebook page created by none other than…Havas London! Got it ! (Boom, product placement — Well done #proud)

3How does one talk about London without any mention of the famous “would you like a cup of tea ?”, a nice ‘musical’ set in my mind that you can hear from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Commonly I will also miss the politeness of the Londoners, so kind for a Parisian.

And most of all, I will miss all the people I’ve met, especially the other Londoners Lofters, my a-ma-zing co-worker, Sophie Billi-Hardwick (I made your day no ?), the lovely Caitlin, the funny Paul and Brian, Tracey, Kate, the spy came in from the Cold: Katya, the French diaspora Geg and Camille and so many other names…

Who is who?

I will miss you London. I’ll be back soon.

Have you really thought there wouldn’t be a Gif? Seriously?

not a farewell for sure!
