I have learned a lot about how the teams here work together —
…From Business Insights and Strategy, to Planning and Investment through to teams such as DBi and Analytics, which are closer to my role in London.

It’s hard to distill what I have taken away from this experience as the learnings are both specific and widely varied in application.

Havas together.

In general, it has been great to share challenges which are faced on both sides of the Atlantic and to discuss how we are approaching them as Havas, together.

I have been surprised by the commonalities between the London office and the New York office, but equally surprised by the differences. The data-driven functions of the business are closely integrated at points where strategy and planning is required to solve agency and client problems. This is great to see, as I believe Havas’ ‘data evolution’ is well underway here in New York, as it is in London.

A lot of my learning has been regarding specific tools and challenges which I cannot go into on this blog — but the answers will help inform direction and strategy back in London, as I also hope in-turn that discussions I have had here in New York will, in a small way, result in positive changes in New York.

Finally I would like to say a Big Thanks to all the people who I have met and chatted with over the month I have lived and worked here.

A special thanks to all the people who I have had meetings with —

Akshit Arora, Allen Nisanyan, Carlos Rey, Caroline Smith, Colin Kinsella, Dan Heller, Dave Bogan, Dora Scutelnicu, Faon Mahunik, Jamie Seltzer, Kristen Simeral, Lina Josephson, Marc Blanchard, Mary Chen, Matt Blasco, Meg Liu, Michael Kaushansky, Mike Sweeney, Mirabel Hudson, Monica Wong, Nancy Beekman, Patti Clarke, Peter Sedlarcik, Peter Sohn, Robert Pearsall, Ruowen Liscio, Sam Liss and Steve Zipf.

…especially the extremely talented and welcoming members of the NFL Team I spent time with —

Alex Sebelen, Dan Finnegan, Dave Jacobsen, Dave Parrott, Lexie Miller, Morgan Johnson, Nicole Stricker, Rob Canderan and Xavier Taveras

…and to my fellow Lofters’ here in NYC—

Charlotte Desvernay, Margot Helfter and Nicolas Gagé.

and an especially special thanks to my venerable coach Christopher Morelle

Chris has made this good experience great.
